Richard Simpson is Joint Managing Director of Tayburn and a Fellow of the Marketing Society, known as a dynamic leader in the Scottish marketing community. He has led high-impact campaigns including the People Make Glasgow city brand, Scottish Rugby’s digital match-day experience, and a pan-European campaign for Toshiba. Richard holds a BA Honours in Marketing Management from Edinburgh Napier University and is a graduate of the FWB and University of Edinburgh Business School Non-Executive Director Programme. He joined Tayburn in 2008, became a board member in 2010, and led a management buyout to become Joint Managing Director in 2014. Under his leadership, Tayburn has grown significantly and gained recognition as a top-five UK agency for creativity and effectiveness. He is Chair of WeDO Scotland, mentoring emerging leaders with a focus on kindness and courage. Outside work, Richard is passionate about holistic fitness, enjoying CrossFit, trail running, stone lifting, and exploring Scotland’s mountains.
